The HM004G is a cordless XGT demolition hammer for professional heavy-duty work such as fully demolishing screeds and breaking other thick concrete layers. HM004G has the same high impact force of 72.8 joules as an electric hammer. The powerful brushless motor is protected from dust and water by the Makita XPT system. The hammer uses two Makita XGT 40Vmax batteries, which together provide 72V operating voltage. Batteries with a minimum capacity of 5.0 Ah are recommended. The rotational speed of the motor automatically decreases when the machine is not under load, increasing the operating time per charge. Operating time at full load about 24 minutes with two 8.0 Ah batteries. The batteries are placed under the handles, making it easy to control and aim the tip of the chisel during chiselling. In addition, two efficient LED lights illuminate the workstation. The machine has a 28.6 mm HEX take-up. The counterweight of the Makita AVT anti-vibration system moves in the opposite direction to the firing pin of the impact mechanism to reduce vibration. The handles are sprung and separated from the rest of the housing to minimise vibration on the hands. The vibration rating is 6.5 m/s2. Equipped with the Makita AWS system, which controls a compatible hoover via a bluetooth connection. The hoover automatically starts and stops in sync with the breaker. An accessory for connecting a hoover is available separately.
